Terms & Conditions – Great Sutton Wellness Company CIC Community Gym
1. Introduction
These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Community Gym operated by Great Sutton Wellness Company CIC (“the Company”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using the gym, all members, guests, and visitors (“you”, “users”) agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
2. Membership
Membership Eligibility — Users must complete a membership form, health questionnaire, and induction before using the gym.
Membership Fees — Fees must be paid in accordance with the current pricing structure. Concession rates may apply where stated.
Non‑Transferability — Memberships cannot be shared, transferred, or sold.
Changes to Membership — The Company reserves the right to amend membership types, pricing, or access rules with reasonable notice.
3. Health & Safety
Medical Clearance — Users are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to exercise. We may request a GP note where appropriate.
Induction Requirement — All new users must complete a gym induction before using equipment.
Safe Conduct — Users must follow staff instructions, signage, and safety guidelines at all times.
Reporting Injuries — Any injury, accident, or equipment fault must be reported immediately to staff.
4. Use of Facilities
Opening Hours — Access is permitted only during published opening times.
Equipment Use — Equipment must be used appropriately and returned after use. Misuse may result in suspension.
Personal Belongings — Lockers are provided where available. The Company is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Cleanliness — Users must wipe down equipment after use and maintain good hygiene.
5. Behaviour & Conduct
Respectful Behaviour — Abusive, discriminatory, or antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated.
Zero‑Tolerance Policy — Violence, harassment, or intimidation will result in immediate removal and possible membership termination.
Shared Community Space — Users must respect that this is a community facility serving diverse groups.
6. Youth & Vulnerable Adults
Under‑16 Access — Users under 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult unless attending a structured session.
Safeguarding — The Company follows safeguarding procedures in line with UK legislation.
7. Data Protection
Personal Data Use — Personal information is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and the Company’s Privacy Policy.
CCTV — CCTV may operate for safety and security purposes.
8. Payments, Cancellations & Refunds
Payment Terms — Payments must be made on time. Late or missed payments may result in suspended access.
Cancellation Policy — Members may cancel with written notice as per the membership agreement.
Refunds — Refunds are issued only in exceptional circumstances at the Company’s discretion.
9. Liability
Assumption of Risk — Users acknowledge that physical exercise carries inherent risks.
Company Liability — The Company is not liable for injuries caused by misuse of equipment or failure to follow instructions.
Insurance — The Company maintains appropriate public liability insurance.
10. Termination of Membership
Breach of Terms — Membership may be suspended or terminated for violating these Terms & Conditions.
Non‑Refundable Termination — Termination due to misconduct does not entitle the user to a refund.
11. Amendments
The Company may update these Terms & Conditions periodically. Members will be notified of significant changes.
